We often come up with vague ideas and not all vague ideas advance to clarity. And in clash of these vague ideas and explicit ideas,  it is always an explicit idea that evolves to reality. So, why is it that some ideas turn BIG and some don’t?

The answer is that “ideas have sex, sometimes even plenty of it. When you take your idea to a coffee shop, classroom or any other place, Internet, etc and share it with your friends and fellow mates, they shower you with their free flowing tonnes of sperm ideas, on your idea. It is then, when your brain gets attracted to one of these ideas (now here’s the difference, its not the first sperm idea, but it is the most attractive sperm idea that gets the ova), it mates with it and forms a new idea which might be more complex or simpler to your previous idea. A premature idea can undergo multiple intercourse and at times can even indulge into polygamy in its course of development to an explicit idea.

The verdict is we should act to increase available choices. Normally, if our brain has only a limited number of options, it selects the first available one by default, without any purposeful effort. However, if it faces several choices, it will need to evaluate and compare each, to decide which one is most suitable under the circumstances.

Your resulting idea is a cumulative result of ideas with which your idea interacted. So it is important to shout! your idea loud, to get enough ideas on you idea. This allows you to make choices and not just that but by evaluating those choices you also allow yourself to think beyond your brain limits and engage with the Global Brain.

P. S: Making choices and making the right choices are two different things and they are completely non-relative of time.
